Mochos is a colourful Cretan village on the way
to Lasithi Plateau, just 9 km from the beach of Stalis and 40km from Heraklion city and international airport. The
village is famous for its big central square and the church of Virgin Mary, where the annual celebration of Virgin Mary takes
place every summer on 14th and 15th of August, with traditional music, folk dancers, great food and numerous visitors
